[Español abajo] Join us to call on the state’s decision-makers to address current economic, social and environmental injustice for the sake of the next generation. Later is too late. Act now to build a thriving future for all.

Vermonters are calling for Legislators and the Governor to create a more equitable, peaceful and healthy economy in balance with our planet. Business and politics as usual has left the state scrambling in the face of extreme weather and geopolitical events during 2023. The result? An affordable housing crisis, social unrest, overwhelmed food shelves, low-income families spending over 5 times more of their monthly income on energy bills than higher-income families, and one of the highest per capita carbon emissions of all the states in the Northeast US.

The problems we are working to solve are interconnected and we need our Legislators to address the root-causes of injustice. We are bigger than what divides us. No more corporate schemes, forgotten people, prisons and wars. Vermont should be built on a strong democracy that prioritizes the needs of the people and our collective future.

Together we can embrace new solutions that drive investments in our communities, farmers and our land, provide safe, warm and affordable housing, and give all Vermonters access to 100% low-emissions income-assessed energy.

Marcha a la Casa Estatal

Júntense con 350VT y sus aliados en la capital, Montpelier, para pedir que las personas que toman decisiones estatales aborden la injusticia económica, social, y medioambiental actual por las generaciones futuras. Más tarde es demasiado tarde. Actúen ahora para construir un futuro floreciente para todxs.

Lxs residentes de Vermont están exigiendo que lxs legisladores y el gobernador crean una economía más equitativa y próspera en balance con nuestro planeta. Los negocios rutinos nos dejaron desesperadxs después de los desastres climáticos de 2023. El resultado? Una crisis de alojamiento asequible, programas de alimentación agobiados, familias de bajos recursos pagando porcentajes grandes de sus sueldos mensuales en las facturas energéticas, y una de las tasas más altas de emisiones de carbono en todo el noroeste del país. 

Los problemas con los que estamos lidiando están vinculados y necesitamos que nuestros legisladores aborden las causas fundamentales de injusticia. Somos más grandes que nuestras diferencias. Vermont se debe fundar en una democracia fuerte que priorice las necesidades del pueblo y nuestro futuro colectivo. 

Juntxs podemos adoptar nuevas soluciones que motiven inversiones en nuestras comunidades, granjeros, y nuestra tierra, provean alojamiento seguro y asequible, y den a todxs lxs residentes acceso a energía totalmente renovable.
