Roundtable on Accessible and Sustainable Transportation

Roundtable on Accessible and Sustainable Transportation

Vermont’s rural nature makes us a beautiful and special home. However, it also often makes driving necessary. In part, causing 40% of our emissions to come from transit. Cars are not only environmentally harmful but also, due to cost, disability status, age, or immigration status, not accessible to all. This means gas powered cars are bad both for our environment and for equity. Those interested in a sustainable and just transportation future can join us for a roundtable August 10 from 7pm to 8:30pm. The roundtable is an opportunity to speak with policy leaders from the Vermont house and Climate Council about making Vermont’s transit system more sustainable and accessible for all. Folks without a car, or who struggle with Vermont’s transit system especially are invited. Email solutions@350vt.org with questions.
